The hand-rubbed antique brass finish is the warmer of the two options in this collection — hand-rubbing leaves variation across the surface rather than an even plating, so it reads as aged and softened rather than uniform.

The weight is worth mentioning: 8 lb in a lamp this size is substantial, and it means the base stays put when you reach past it or reposition it. Small lamps that slide across a desk are a common frustration, and this isn't one of them.

An integrated dimmer gives continuous control rather than fixed on and off, so the lamp can run low for evening work or full for detail tasks.
