Designed by Ian K. Fowler, the Cesta is built around a sculpted frame rather than a plain stem — the structure is the design, and the gilded iron finish is what makes it read as worked metal rather than a support holding a shade up. At 27 lb it has genuine mass, which is both what a sculptural frame requires and what keeps a 60-inch lamp stable.

The shade is oval rather than round or drum, measuring roughly 17.5 inches one way and 22 the other, at 11.25 inches deep. An oval throws light along its long axis, so the lamp lights a wider spread in one direction than the other — worth thinking about when placing it beside a sofa or across a corner rather than in open floor space.

An integrated dimmer gives continuous control from low ambient to full. It takes one medium E26 base A19 bulb up to 15W. ETL listed and dry rated for indoor use.
